The stage from the source in Boxberg to the spa town of Daun offers an easy introduction to the Lieserpfad. The beauty of the trail is already apparent on this first section.

The starting point of the Lieser Trail is its source near Boxberg. It continues through the Struth with a beautiful view of the legendary Hilgerather church. How about a break at one of the two springs in Neichen or Rengen? The slightly acidic water refreshes and cools the tired hiker. The bench under the nature conservation monument of an old oak tree between Neichen and Nerdlen is also inviting. After 15 kilometres, the stage destination is reached and numerous restaurants and cafés invite you to take a final break.
