The hike starts in Huben / Fun Park. At the beginning you cross the small bridge to the left of the Fun Park and then take the wide forest road towards Polltalalm on the right hand side. Follow this road for a few hundred meters until a sidewalk branches off to the right. This leads up grassy through a swathe. The hiking trail, which crosses the forest again and again, is steeper, but there are not countless hairpin bends which can be climbed upwards. About one kilometer before the Polltalalm branches off to the left a way direction Hahlkogelhaus. If one follows the narrow mountain path above the tree line to the Hahlkogelhaus one sees shortly before the hut (not cultivated) a natural moor which is crossed with the help of makeshift bridges.
