From Calalzo di Cadore follow the road (SS51 bis) towards Vallesella, a fraction of Domegge di Cadore. After about 1.1 km turn right onto Via Vittorio Veneto and follow it to the sports field. From there turn right into Via Piduel, leading to the bridge that crosses the lake of Centro Cadore. Walking near the Cologna campsite, follow the dirt road to the next junction. Here follow trail no. 342 to south-east through the Talagona valley along the Talagona creek to the Cercenà hut (1050 m).
