Raudberg 1476 masl - Topp20 Hemsedal
From the top of Raudberg, 1485 masl, you can see most of the other Topp20 hikes. The trail starts off in an old mountain farming area and follows a stream almost all the way to the top.
This is a hike for intermediate hikers who enjoy walking straight up to the top. You start the hike at Ershovd, the old mountain farm area, and you follow the blue marks all the way to the top! You follow a small stream which is a common place for sheep and reindeer to come for their morning and afternoon drink, so please remember to keep your distance and your dog on a leash. Along the stream, you will see many different waterfalls which make a beautiful hike. At one point you might lose the track, after the area of small bushes, just remember to look for the blue marks that will lead you to the top.
The mountain Raudberg splits the valleys Mørkedalen and Grøndalen and you can see all of Hemsedal as well as parts of Jotunheimen.
As this hike is a bit more intermediate we only recommend bringing children who are used to walking in the mountains, to avoid any unpleasant experiences.
Author’s recommendation
