You start this hike in the middle of the farm landscape of Ulsåk walking towards the old farm museum Bygdatunet, an old Norwegian farm. From there on you wander into the forest along old cattle roads surrounded by sheep, please close the gate after yourself and keep dogs on leash. The road swirls up, becoming steeper as you walk. You know you reached Geiteberget when you step out on an open rock plateau.
From the top, you will have views of the waterfall Hydnefossen and the mountains Veslehødn, Storehødn and Totten. You will also be able to see the town centre further in the valley.
If you wish to hike further you can either follow the path around Gravsetåsen, where you pass another Topp20 top Storhøvda. Another option that will take you to the town centre is to walk to Fekjan and over the mountains.
Museum
The buildings at the museum are original and belonged to the farm Øvre Løkji. It gives a good impression of what a mountain farm looked like in the 18th century.

Getting there
Drive to Ulsåk and follow the road to Lykkja. After 700 meters park by the signpost for the Hallingdal Museum. Walk up to the museum and follow the marked path up along the fence until you arrive at a gate with blue marks on it. Follow the marked trail.Parking
