In Nordhausen and in the Südharz region, the idea of the Reformation caught on most quickly and captured the hearts and minds of the people.

Discover the key places of the Reformation – Nordhausen where Luther’s sermons were extremely popular and Stolberg where the revolutionary Thomas Müntzer was born.
Cross the picturesque landscape of the Südharz region and hike through the mixed forests on the border with Saxony-Anhalt.
Discover the little churches along the route with histories that stretch back into the dark ages to the medieval period. Lots of stations along the way that have been shaped by changes over time, particularly the Reformation, tell of great reformers and peasant leaders.
