Hiking up the Brocken is a challenge for which we are rewarded with great experiences and fantastic views. We take the easiest route and pack enough provisions in our backpacks.
From the car park, a short stretch of asphalt awaits us, which very soon turns into a paved hiking trail. Behind the Dreieckiger Pfahl refuge, we hike briefly on a bumpy but firm path. On the Kolonnenweg, consisting of large concrete slabs, we climb the Königsberg. Now we go slightly uphill on a sandy path that is very easy to hike. From the railway crossing, we walk up the steepest part of the trail to the Brocken on asphalt.
