From Porte d'Enfer to La Mahaudière (BNGT 3)

Dernière of the 3 stages of the Boucle du Nord Grande-Terre: Anse-Bertrand, La Porte d'Enfer à La Mahaudière, following the cliffs trace.
Starting from the Porte d'Enfer site, follow the trace of the cliffs which winds southwards (customs officers' path then the Souffleur path) and then obliquely westwards inland to the former Habitation "La Mahaudi", the arrival site of this 3rd tape.
Communes crossed: Anse-Bertrand and Petit-Canal
Do not go near the edge of the cliffs or the Souffleur hole: risk of collapse.NB: beware, lots of sargassum algae in the Porte d'Enfer lagoon.

In the natural environment, caution and vigilance must be multiplied, especially as Guadeloupe is subject to natural risks. Adopting a responsible behaviour is essential to make sure that hiking remains a pleasure! Beware: unsupervised car parks and swimming.
