The hike starts at Narsarsuaq Yout Hostel and goes through the beautiful flower valley around 3,5 km (2 miles) north-east where you will also find rivers and streams and a small forrest.
After the small forrest you move up the terrain and get a great view overlooking the Narsarsuaq Glacier which has retreated from the fjord a couple of kilometers up the valley. There is one rather steep part of the trail that needs to be climbed with the aid of ropes that are set up already.
At the end of the hike you get to a vantage point overlooking the Qooroq Glacier which is producing icebergs for the Qooroq Fjord and Erik's Fjord - a fantastic sight.
It is also possible to rent mountain bikes at Tasermiut Greenland in Narsarsuaq and bike around half the way to the vantage point overlooking Qooroq glacier.

Safety informationThe part of the hike that is climbed with stationary ropes is rather steep, so you should have some experience with that kind of climbing, especially in wet conditions when everything is more slippery.
