The Sentiero dei 7 Passi
Curcu Genovese Verlag
The path of the 7 Passi, so called because it passes through the hamlets of the municipality of Vezzano (6 + the main town) and the path is walked in the shape of a "seven". Thus the number became the symbol of the whole and it leads to the slopes of Monte Gazza and those of the Valle dei Laghi, which has so marked the villages near Monte Bondone. The area is of great value for its appearance, vegetation and temperate climate and offers many panoramic views that make it a pleasant, if long, walk. The route proposed here starts from the main town and touches all the hamlets in a counter-clockwise direction, and has the option of a diversion that allows you to climb up to Malga Bael.
There are possibilities to vary, lengthen and shorten the path described here, and they are listed here step by step. For the sake of completeness, the descriptive map available at the Vezzano Tourist Office, a section of the APT Trento-Monte Bondone-Valle dei Laghi (somewhat outdated and obsolete), is also included. The historical notes concern only the fractions. From Piazza di Vezzano, where you can get important services (open only in the morning on Sundays in summer), take the road on the left and in a few steps you will reach the churchyard of the beautiful neo-Gothic church dedicated to Saints Valentino and Vigilio. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century to replace the old church, which can be dated back to the 12th century. In front of the Cassa Rurale, follow the steps downhill and you will find yourself in Via del Borgo, where you will find the first signs of the route on the left. Continue down to the town gate (of the old village, description next to the Tür)
