From the Valley to the Viote

The starting point is at Piazza di Vezzano, where the bus stop is located.
Follow Via Borgo, which runs directly under the churchyard of the beautiful Church of Saints Valentino and Vigilio. At the end of the road (on the left is the table of the 7 Passes, which will be discussed in another itinerary), turn right and then left onto Via Ronch and path no. 618. Continue left for a few metres uphill. Shortly after, the asphalt ends and the road becomes a gravel path. At a new crossroads, turn left and next to a plaque depicting a roe deer (inlaid with salt leaves, which these animals crave), you will find the Ronch (drinkable) spring, which flows from a stone well. Further on, you reach a small riding school on the right and just after that, the path becomes grassy. You avoid a diversion and, immediately afterwards, the signs for the A. Stoppani Geological Path (which deserves a separate visit – about 1 hour and 30 minutes) and continue climbing upwards along n. 618. After about 2 kilometres you reach a clearing and the path widens.
