Die Strecke führt weitgehend durch den Wald. Teils bieten sich Ausblicke auf das Leimental. Auf dem "französische Teil" der Route hat es relativ wenig Wanderer unterwegs. Verpflegemöglichkeit ist unterwegs leider keine vorhanden. Oberhalb von Biel Benken hat es einen schönen Picknickplatz (Punkt Y auf der Route).

Startpunkt (Allschwil Ziegelei) kann gut mit dem ÖV (6er Tram) erreicht werden.

Von Rodersdorf kann man via Tram und dann Bus (ab Oberwil Zentrum) wieder zurück zum Ausgangsort fahren (Dauer: ca. 30min).

Alternativ:

Wer sich den anfangs Anstieg durch Allschwil sparen will, kann auch beim Punkt I/J - Bushaltestelle "Spitzwald" anfangen. Dort hat es auch einen grossen öffentlichen Parkplatz.Pkratisch ist auch: Die Buslinie 64 (die für den Rückweg sowieso gebraucht wird) hat dort auch wieder eine Haltestelle.
