Fjällräven Classic in Germany: From May 24th to May 26th, a three-day-route of the famous hiking event will lead through the picturesque Allgäu region. A highlight in the hiking season!
The first Fjällräven Classic in Sweden in 2005 was a resounding success: Year after year, more and more enthusiastic trekking fans came together to discover nature on foot and meet like-minded hikers. By now, Fjällräven Classic has been launched all over the world - since 2022 also in Germany!
The Allgäu region in the Bavarian Prealps was chosen as the venue. The three daily stages with a total length of 57 kilometers lead right through the fascinating Allgäu landscape: through dense coniferous forests, to sunny peaks with sensational views and across green meadows with grazing cows.
On all three stages, you must overcome challenging climbs, because the Allgäu is almost never flat and level. Fortunately, there are so many typical mountain huts along the way - here they are called Alphütten - with cozy sun terraces and excellent food. The event includes overnight stays in designated camps, and all participants bring their own tents and equipment.

The route can of course also be hiked individually. Caution: Camping in the wild is prohibited in Germany! Outside of the event, please use accommodation in the valley.

Public-transport-friendly
Take the train to Immenstadt in the Allgäu. There the bus (direction Oberstaufen) will take you in a few minutes to the AlpSeeHaus in Bühl, a good starting point for the first stage.By road
From Kempten, drive south on the B19 to the Immenstadt/Nord exit, then take the second exit on the roundabout and always drive on the B308 through the town. At the third roundabout in Immenstadt, turn right onto Missener Straße and continue to Kleiner Alpsee (left-hand side).Parking
Many paid parking options at the Kleiner Alpsee public swimming pool. Alternatively, you can park at the AlpSeeHaus at the Großer Alpsee and start the route from there.Coordinates
