This is an alternative to the popular Lyveden Way LDP (Long Distance Path) that shares part of that route. It cuts out the visit to Wadenhoe village but extends into more of Titchmarsh Woods. This makes for a more peaceful route but it could easily be extended to Wadenhoe if required - a worthwhile trip as it's a lovely village (and has a pub!)
Paths are easy to follow and offer a variety of both woodland and farmland. Some of the farmland has livestock.
Red Kites are more or less guaranteed on this route and if you go during July you have a good chance of seeing the Purple Emperor butterfly.
Start and end are at the Fermyn Woods Country Park. A place worth a visit on its own. Great local walks, plenty for kids to do and a lovely cafe.
