Discovery Trail - The bat tunnel

Learn all about Luxembourg's longest railway tunnel and its bats on the discovery trail near Huldange! The bat mascot Batti will join you along the way past information boards, audio stations and interactive info stations. The path is located on both sides of the tunnel and consists of two identical parts which can be reached from either the Luxembourg or the Belgian side. In order not to disturb the sensitive bats, the tunnel is inaccessible to visitors.

The trail can be reached from Troisvierges railway station via the Vennbahn cycle path. The trail is located on both sides of the former railway tunnel in Huldange and consists of two sections:
• The southern section starts on the Luxembourg side, at the junction of the Vennbahn near the former lineman's cottage, and ends at the southern entrance of the tunnel. This section is about 900 metres long.
• The northern section starts at the junction on the Belgian side and ends at the northern entrance This section is about 1000 metres long.
