Roman Trail Premium Trail
On the almost ten km long circular trail we walk in the footsteps of the R&oum;mer: a former mine, the reconstruction of a Roman protective wall and other historical sites line our path.
The trail markings with the red mint always show us the right way on this hike. We can start the tour at the Ramsteiner Weg hiking car park or alternatively at the car park below Ramstein Castle, which we reach via the village of Kordel. A total of six attractions can be marvelled at on our way. On the one hand, there are historical sites such as the Roman copper mine or the ruins of Ramstein Castle, and on the other hand, there are sights that we owe to nature: Waterfalls and caves. Two further experiences, a Celtic fortress and the Geyersley lookout point, can be reached via a short detour.
