Track types
Safety information
The route often runs along so-called farm tracks. These are used for agricultural purposes and are used by tractors and harvesters all year round. We would like to point out that the use of the paths is at your own risk and ask for mutual consideration in the interest of all. The farm tracks may be soiled by agricultural traffic. After rainy days and especially in winter, the paths can be wet and slippery.Tips and hints

Turn-by-turn directions
From the Square of 100 Wines, walk past the sports hall and follow the wine glass logo on the dark blue steel stelae first in a northerly direction towards Herxheim am Berg. The path is paved and slightly uphill. At the rainwater retention basin halfway to Herxheim, continue left for about 200 metres in a westerly direction before the signposted path turns left, right and left again in quick succession to then run mostly straight ahead towards the road between Kallstadt and Leistadt. You turn right at the road and arrive at the entrance to Leistadt on an unpaved path. You have to cross the roundabout at the entrance to the village and to do this, first turn right into the village and then immediately left again. You reach the main road, turn left again and walk alongside the road out of the village again and along the roundabout. Follow the first exit of the roundabout (direction Höningen/Lindemannsruhe/Weilach) and after about 50 metres turn left on the other side of the road into the farm track in front of the parking bay.Now continue on the well-signposted path until you reach the hotel/restaurant "Annaberg". From here, turn left towards the road (L517 Leistadt-Bad Dürkheim). You cross the road (attention: no crossing aid) at the retention basin (* detour to the Roman villa, see below). In the midst of vineyards, continue straight ahead until you reach a small lake after 300 metres. At the Kallstadter See lake, turn left again and then right after 100 metres. You reach the outskirts of Kallstadt and turn left into Backhausgasse and walk to the traffic lights in Leistadter Straße. Here, keep to the right in the direction of St. Salvator Church.
On the opposite side is the starting point of the Platz der 100 Weine.
(* Detour to the Roman villa) After a few metres you will see a sign for the Weilberg Roman wine estate, which is worth a detour. If you follow the signs, you will first reach the Roman wine press and then turn left uphill to the remains of the Roman villa. From there, follow the signs for the Almond Trail (marking: pink blossom) and rejoin the Riesling Trail on the way to Lake Kallstadt.
