From Corwen walk up Moel Fferna via Cynwyd along the North Berwyn Way. Walk through teh quarry section of the North Berwyn Way and then descend via Glyndyfrdwy. Join the Dee Valley Way and return to Corwen on this route.

From Corwen walk up Moel Fferna via Cynwyd. Start in Corwen and travel along the old railway line heading into Cynwyd. Llangar Church is passed on this section of the route and is well worth a visit. Cointinue on the old railway line and go up into the small village of Cynwyd. Cynwyd has two pubs and a Post Office/general store. Continue up waterfall road still on the North Berwyn Way passing Cynwyd waterfalls and reservoir on the right hand side. Once passed the reservoir continue up the road leaving teh road on a track on the left then heading up into the forest. Once through the forest you will come to a clearing, walk across this and head back into the wood. Once out of this wood turn left and follow the forest road passed the turn to Liberty Hall on the left and head to open access land. Stay on the very well defined path to the gate where you turn left and head up a short steep section to teh fenceline. Cross the fence and walk north west to the summit of Moel Fferna. Retrace your steps back to the fence and follow the fence to the footpath on the left. Drop down this footpath then turn right into the former quarry. Walk through the quarry section of the North Berwyn Way and then descend via Glyndyfrdwy. Once through this small village join the Dee Valley Way and return to Corwen on this route.
