Starting from the Visitor Centre, the northern loop skirts Blakemere Moss which is seen occasionally through the trees and vegetation; look out for the abundant wildlife on the water.
Care needs to be taken along the short stretch of road; fluorescent jackets recommended.
The southern loop climbs to Pale Heights giving good views of the surrounding countryside. However, the climb is quite steep and on loose gravel. This is the difficult section of the ramble.
