The longest hiking trail, Öja Archipelago Trail, in Kokkola is suitable for demanding hikers. The scenery varies from seashores to dark forests and rock areas.

The trail goes partly on Natura2000-area. Starting point is located by Cafe Bryggan and local school, about 17 km from the centre of Kokkola. The trail is marked with blue and white paint, but requires attention in the terrain. There are lots of rocky areas, also the paths are rocky and might be very slippery when wet. Although there are plenty of duckboards, the route might be wet specially during spring months - waterproof shoes are recommended.

From Kokkola: Drive Rantatie road (749) direction Pietarsaari about 11 km. Turn right to Öjantie road (at the crossing you'll see small Öja Market on the other side of the road), and follow Öjantie road about 4 km. The cafe is on the sea shore, behind the school building.
