Point of this stage of the Via Transalpina is Sauris di Sotto (1,212 m). Follow trail 218 north to the Casera Pieltinis (1,739 m). From here continue along the trail until the 206-3a Casera Gerona, then continuing to the north-east along trail 220 to reach the Casera Losa hut (1,765 m), at the foot of Monte Losa.
