The hill is a typical green summit that dominates the Cima Sappada plain, bordered to the north by the haystacks of Plotzn and to the south by the mouth of the Val Degano.The shelter, restored in recent years, stands almost at the summit, along with a statue of the Virgin.

This is one of the many "healthy" trails that have appeared from nothing in recent years. It is a rather short route, amidst dense fir trees, that leads more directly than the previous one to the summit of the hill.It is recommended, however, to use it rather as a quick way back to Cima Sappada than as a route for ascent because of its almost constant steepness.The Colle can be “traversed” by combining the two routes.

Turn-by-turn directions
On the left side of the Hotel Bellavista, a faint tracks leads to the north-east through the meadows and soon enters the forest, at first climbing gently, then in steep, narrow zigzags, before emerging at the mountain hut and the statue of the Virgin.
Return can be by the same route or the following one.
