Up to Stalden, the varied hike begins on an asphalt road. Afterwards, the trail leads through the Locheberg forest. On leaving the forest edge, you are surprised by a magnificent mountain panorama. Then follows the farming village of Häutligen. Now you hike through the Wiftrechwald forest where you then follow the path steeply down to Oberwichtrach. From there it is not far to Wichtrach railway station.
