Strijtem > Strijland >Strijtem

Strijtem is the start and end point for this walk, but other start/end points such as the Hertboom wind mill, Cafe Den Haas, Krekelhof near Gooik and the neighbouring village of Onze Lieve Vrouw Lombeek are also practical. This 22 km route is fairly strenuous due to the hilly terrain. The route is a mixture of surfaced roads, dirt tracks and narrow walking paths mainly through forest and fields.
This route can be shortened by 1,6 km if you go directly from point 2 to point 3 leaving out Berchem bos.
Going directly from point 4 to 5 along Drie Egyptenbaan will shorten the total route by 4,4 km.
Going directly from point 1 at the Hertboom wind mill to point 6 in Onze Lieve Vrouw Lombeek will reduce the route by 13,8 km to a total of 8,2 km.
