A lovely walk around maintained paths within the Coco Hill Forest. The walk is mostly in shade under the tree canopy, but steep cliffs and rises give pleasant and very extensive views over a large area of coast and forest below.
Distance 2.1 km
On arrival at the briefing you are given a nice waterproofed plastic map showing the various trails and options together with suggestions and a walking stick to borrow for your walk.
Author’s recommendation
Afternoon time for us was really nice, the tree canopy provides shade and the routes through the trees are often on a slope that allows, in places a full breeze to make it very pleasant.

The tracks are tracks and often on gravel or forest floor in dry weather, they are really good. If it was a wet day … or raining whilst out some of the tracks could be slippery in places on the slopes i think. Though for my trip this was not a problem.Tips and hints
There are some lovely spots where picnic bench … are positioned in the forest near some viewpoints. Therefore, a nice sit down with a small picnic half way around or near the end would be nice.Start
The routes start from the Coco Hill Forest car park. (294 m)
