From Verdasio station, take the cable car to Monte Comino. Thanks to the cable car and the many hiking possibilities, Monte Comino is a popular destination. To the little church Madonna della Segna, up to Pizzin and up and down along the ridge to Pescia Lunga. A short climb leads to Corte Nuovo, from here the view over Lake Maggiore is fantastic! The last big climb is coming up - to Pizzo Ruscada. Those who prefer to skip the summit have the option of taking the trail below, in the direction of Capellone. From here you can enjoy a fabulous panorama as well. The descent is via Capellone and continues through the imposing Onsernone forest reserve, which has a considerable population of silver firs. Continue downhill until you reach the Isorno River, which cuts its way through the entire Onsernone Valley. Cross the river and up to Comologno, the idyllic village in the upper Onsernone Valley. Here you can visit the church of S. Giovanni Battista.
