We reach the picturesque mountain village of Rasa by cable car from Verdasio. Alternatively, it could only be reached on foot. Because the village, situated on a sunny terrace in the Centovalli, is completely car-free, there is no road leading up to it. But perhaps it is precisely the peace and seclusion that make this place so appealing. We climb from Rasa through shady forests and sunny mountain meadows in the direction of Monti/Termine. We pass a first summit cross at point 1499 m above Alpe di Naccio. Accompanied by a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore, we continue on a narrow path to Pizzo Leone with its magnificent view of the lake, the surrounding mountain ranges and the small village of Rasa. At the end of the tour, you can stop at the simple Grotto Ghiridone in Rasa.
