three day hike around the Vallee de la Thur, near the Grand Ballon ( IGN topomap nr 3619 OT)
first day, late in the evening, from car to Abri du Paradis Hisel, 2 km, uphill
second day to Abri de Machey, 20 km of going up and down.
third day 23 km to Abri du Faucon Crécerelle, this was a very busy hut, so if your group is not to big, 2-3, than it's better to walk to Refuge du Storkenkopf. a small hut with plenty of firewood and a nice fireplace.
fourth day to the car. It is possible to take the train from Saint Amarin to Oderen, to reduce the walking distance on the final day. On sunday the train leaves at 09.33 hours.
