Winter walk up the Simmerberg
On the wintry hike, we climb the Simmerberg and reward ourselves with a breathtaking view of the Alps.
The starting point of this hike is the church "St. Bartholomäus" in the centre of Hopferbach, a small village in the district of Ostallgäu. From the church we walk up the Simmerberger Weg along the edge of the forest. On the narrow asphalt road, the path passes a bench with a view over the village. The path continues into the Bärenhalde forest, which we leave again after a while. After leaving the forest, we cross the farm settlement of Simmerberg. Now we hike to a barn, which is located on the Hühnermoos. There, the winter hike ends with a panoramic view of the mountains.
