With the willingness to get up early, this tour rewards you with the enchanting silence and beauty of the morning nature and impressive views from the Alpine foothills over the Grünten into the Allgäu High Alps. A hearty snack at an alpine pasture completes the culinary enjoyment of the tour.

The tour is a one-day undertaking with about 14 km horizontal distance and about 750 metres of ascent and descent. It is varied and only takes you briefly into the countryside, but then over meadows and forest paths with the best possible views of the Mittagberg. Depending on your taste, the time you spend at the viewpoints and the snack, you should allow at least five, preferably seven hours in total. The tour requires – a bit of mindfulness in parts, especially when we set off in the dark – on the rather steep ascent from the Bildkapelle to the mountain station.
