Tarmac & Hard-Pack roads
Starting at the large church in the centre of Emba (Empa) the reasonably long walk takes you from Emba (Empa) up into the hills around Kili and Tasada. The route is straight forward, however, there are two areas where there is the opportunity to go off route.
1. Approximately 1hr and 30min (6km ish) into route a fork in the track takes you up the steep hill to the right. If you go wrong you will travel downhill and come to a Ford over a small river (you have gone too far). This track down to the ford is signposted for Adonis Baths (sign may or may not be in place). Make sure you take the fork to the right uphill.
2. The second area of concern is the right turn on the outskirts of Tasada on the main Paphos to Polis Road. The turning right is directly across the road from a Kiosk, it is a steep downhill track of concrete construction which doubles back on the route, and drops down into the valley. This track is not immediately obvious from the road side.
If you wish to make this walk a little easier, walk the route in a anticlockwise direction. Although the distance is the same it avoids having to climb the very steep hill 6km into walk on the clockwise route.
