Beautiful hike with a scenic route and a lot to see around. View on Italy, Slovenia and major part of Carinthia. Several mountains chains can be seen and a good amount of wildlife can also be observed.
/!\ This path bypasses the DANGEROUS Jägersteig. Definitely a better and safer alternative!
Author’s recommendation
This route is an alternative to the Jägersteig, which is to be avoided (dangerous!). Much more scenic and tranquil route for a chill ride through Dobratsch!

Drive to Warmbad Villach and take the Villacher Alpenstrasse (18€ for cars) to the top parking lot.Parking
Use the last Parking lot "Die Rosstrate Parkplatz" and start from there. You can also park before and make the whole hike longer.Arrival by train, car, foot or bike
