A great hike on a small, but legendary mountain in gorgeous surroundings. If you are in Arua with a day or two to spare, try to get up and do this one.
The track was drawn by hand, so don't try to follow it with your GPS, though it is close to the actual trail. From the school/church north of Wati, ask for a guide. Good trails will take you to the peak and back. Might take 1.5-3 hours depending on your group and the conditions.
The best months are Dec-Feb when it is dry and the bush is less thick, though these trails get used often by locals, so they should be clear. You can go anytime of year.
Consider some trad climbing on the face of Burua Rock. The theCrag.com for more details on the climbing here. The rock is good quality with lots of potential lines, good pro placement and FAs!
