This is a spectacular trail through no man’s land in the north western part of Gran Canary Island. Embedded between the two reservoirs of Las Niñas and Soria. Starting point is at Salto de Perro reservoir. It starts, leads, and ends spectacular. The trail often disappears on the barren land, which makes it interesting and feels like a cross country hike. You need quite a good orientation but getting lost also leads you to nice surprises.
I recommend to start at around 4 - 5 p.m. We did the tour with two kids (which have good at walking on rocky paths), so I might rate it as family friendly.
Be prepared to leave the trial at any time. Short cuts may make long delays but it is worth trying.
Take food and water. Enjoy
