For those new to Big Bike Ride, this is a wonderful annual event which has sees over 300 people each year take to their cycles and embark on a variety of routes around Cambridge. As a sponsored bike ride this event has previously raised funds for a range of charities in the county. This year the beneficiaries of the event are Press Relief and Arthur Rank Hospice Charity and we would love you to get involved!
The ride starts at 10am at Histon (Cambridgeshire FA Headquarters, Bridge Rd, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9PH) with registration for pre-registered riders from 9.30am. The route moves on to Coton and Jesus Green before returning to Histon. The route, approximately 12 miles in length, is suitable for all types of bikes, including child trailers or where baby seats have been fitted to a cycle. Any competent rider who can cycle the distance is welcome to take part.
