The signposted, flat route (suitable for families with children) takes you approximately 28 km from Speyer in a westerly direction across the Upper Rhine Plain to Hainfeld.
The route from Speyer initially takes you into the cycling community of Dudenhofen. German cyclist Rudi Altig used to train on the local cycle track on Iggelheimer Straße. You continue via Harthausen to Gommersheim, passing Böbingen and Freimersheim. You then reach Hainfeld via Großfischlingen and Edesheim. The castle and the catholic church of St. Peter and Paul in Edesheim are both well worth a visit.
