Forest and mill bike tour

We start our bike tour at the station in Waldfischbach, cycle across the Moosalbe stream and then follow the main road to the right. We follow the signs in the direction of Pirmasens and the Pfälzerwaldtour cycle path. In Burgalben it is worth visiting the pilgrimage church of Maria Rosenberg (1). At the end of the main road we meet the B270 and turn left onto a cycle path until we turn right at the first junction and cross the railway tracks. Then keep left, cross the Schwarzbach stream and turn left again between the edge of the forest and the row of houses. We follow the forest road along the edge of the forest and thus ride a few kilometres above the Schwarzbach valley. From a car park we can visit the Steinenschlo&szlig ruin (2). The castle from the 11th century has a restored enclosure wall, a reconstructed gateway, the walls of some farm buildings and a tower rebuilt with large stone leaves.
