Turn-by-turn directions
In the village of Loipersdorf, not far from the thermal bath of the same name, we turn east to cycle along the Rittscheintal cycle path R21 to the herb village of Söchau. In this idyllically situated village, a number of hotels and restaurants as well as a freely accessible herbal garden await you. From Söchau, the tour continues via Breitenfeld an der Rittschein to Walkersdorf, where another culinary highlight awaits us: Haberl & Fink's Delikatessen offers a walk-in wine cabinet, cosy snugs and a beautifully landscaped garden in the inn, and the adjoining delicacy manufactory produces hand-pickled and preserved Styrian specialities from fresh fruit and vegetables.
From Walkersdorf, the route continues leisurely along the Rittschein river via Markt Hartmannsdorf with its outdoor adventure pool to the Raabtalradweg cycle path, which leads from the natural park Almenland to Hungary. At the cycle path junction, we now keep to the right to head north into the small town of Gleisdorf with its small, fine centre around the imposing church on the main square. Here, we also rejoin the main route of the Styrian Wine Country Cycling Tour.

Equipment
Touring bikes or city bikes are recommended. Road bikes rather not, as there are short sections also on gravel, which can, however, be bypassed via country roads. Tip: A basic equipment of tools and accessories such as spare inner tube and/or repair kit, spanner, air pump, brake and shift cable as well as a screwdriver can never hurt.Statistics
