The time travel tour to the south-east of Pforzheim
This beautiful round trip, which was worked out by the ADFC, takes you on a time travel through the eventful history of the region.
The tour starts at the cradle of the jewelry and watch industry in Pforzheim, the Waisenhausplatz, and follows the river Nagold to the point where the Würm flows into it. On the beautiful Würmradweg you pass the mystical Liebeneck castle ruins. Here you can literally imagine how the knights in the 12th century protected the raft customs post established on the river on their horses. At that time, rafting was one of the most important economic branches of the Black Forest.
The bike tour continues on beautiful forest paths to the idyllic Seehaus, where you can take a relaxing break. A short walk in the wildlife park is definitely worth it and is good for animals.
Witnesses of the Roman times can be found in the Villa Rustica. Interesting information boards describe the different parts of the handsome villa.
