Starting in Moy the route takes the old Eglish road and laneways around Granville passing Eskragh lough to Castlecaufield. Then the gradual climb through Killyharry and Galbally up to the remoter area around Crocknabullan. After a long descent to McMahons town climbs again on a very small poorly surfaced road over a scenic area known as Lurganmore and descends steeply back down to the Ballygawley line at Ballyreagh. The journey back to Benburb takes small laneways passing Craigs Lough nature reserve and the scenic Friary lough in the heart of the historical Brantry area.
