Climb at Dosso of Costalta from Fovi locality
APT Trento, monte Bondone e Valle dei Laghi Verified partner
This is an emblematic route for the Piné Plateau, which leads with an ascent of 1,000 m of altitude difference to the striking and panoramic peak of Dosso di Costalta.
The Dosso di Costalta (1955 m) is an unmissable destination for visitors to the plateau. The view from the summit overlooking Lake Serraia is splendid: one can admire the Brenta Dolomites in all their arched eastern flank, the Lagorai and the Dolomites to the east. The hike involves a considerable difference in altitude but no particular technical difficulty, as much of the ascent is along a forest road. The return is along the same route as the outward journey.
Very suggestive route to be covered also on foot, as an alternative to the classic ascent from path 404. The "La Casara" bivouac (at 3/4 of the way) has tables, benches, a source of water and fire point, ideal for a well-deserved break. With favorable temperatures it is possible to climb up to 1955m of the Dosso di Costalta even at night.

As you will imagine, the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before leaving, find out about the status of the route by contacting the hut manager about your route, the mountain guides, the visitor centers of the natural parks and the tourist offices.
