Destination
Turn-by-turn directions
The itinerary starts from the car park in loc. Poggio dei Pini (Chalet de la Mot); from here follow the asphalted road that plunges into the pine forest towards Doss del la Mot. Instead of following the signs to the ruins of the Castle Belvedere, take the road to the left, which continues flat, and then arrives, with some difference in altitude, at the village of the Grill. From here you go down following the dirt road that runs alongside the main road until you reach the village of Erla. Continuing on the asphalted road, you reach the main square of Montagnaga, where the Sanctuary, the Tourism Museum and Fregoloti locality are located: an old town with an ancient scent, crossed by the street dedicated to the shepherd Domenica Targa, who is know for the Marian apparitions. Along the way there are the main food and wine points that offer products at km 0 and the bronze statues representing the four mysteries. After the well-deserved stops, it is possible to reach the Monument to the Redeemer and the Prato della Comparsa, from where those who wish can make a short stretch to reach the Belvedere Alto vantage point with a view of the Valsugana. From here begins the return route that climbs along a dirt road and then a cycle path through the colourful woods of the Laghestel nature reserve, until reaching the hamlet of Ferrari, from where, crossing the main road, we return to the starting point.
