The Klingbach Cycle Route runs from Reichenbach through the Palatinate Forest and across the Rhine Plain to Hördt. It is ideal for families as there is very little ascent.
The scenically diverse cycle route starts on the Pamina Cycle Route (Lauter Valley) in Reichenbach, in the heart of the Palatinate Forest, crosses the German Wine Cycle Route in Klingenmünster, and then continues along the Klingbach river to the Rhine. Along the way, it is worth taking a trip to the wildlife and hiking park in Silz, or enjoying a dip in the Moby Dick bathing lake in Rülzheim. The cycle route has a steady downhill trajectory and is suitable for families with children.
Cyclists must obey the German highway code (StVo).
Please wear a helmet. Touring bicycle or bike with multiple gears, weatherproof clothing, drinks and supplies.
