From the LeMelette Sport & Gourmet Hut, we follow the road to Valle di Campomulo, which opens to the north towards Ortigara, leaving behind the town of Gallio, the Baita and the ski lifts. We follow the main asphalted road, following the traffic regulations. After 300 metres, we turn left at the first junction leading to the Busafonda speed skating rink. Shortly afterwards, still on the left, we can see a small Alpine church dedicated to the veterans of Russia. We turn right and leave Malga Busafonda, which is ideal for a snack with typical products. After about 500 metres, at the crossroads with Centro Fondo Gallio - Rifugio Campomulo, we cycle straight uphill and stay on the asphalted road, where, after about 500 metres, we arrive at a crossroads. Turning right, we see the road turns white. We continue for about 1 km towards Selletta Sbarbatal, where the descent for Marcesina begins.
At the first hairpin bend, we turn left and leave the small road on the right that leads back from Malghe di Meletta and Slapeur, where we will return later. We go downhill for a few kilometres, leaving the junction for Malga Campocavallo on the right. The view then opens onto the Marcesina pastures. At the junction with the paved road, we turn right towards the Malga Ronchetto refuge, where we can stop to enjoy the view over the Marcesina plain and enjoy good food at an equally good price. Follow the asphalted road and you will find on your right a forest road that goes through the woods until we reach the Coulesa pasture and then up again to the Melette. When we reach the highest point of the road, after a few metres of descent, we pass the Malga fence and cross it immediately after the Malga Meletta and Slapeur roads. We continue uphill to the left, passing Bocchetta Slapeur, then turn right at the crossroads and head towards Malga Meletta Davanti. After a few kilometres, near the stable, we will see a small road on the right that leads to the ridge in the middle of the pasture where the monument to Raffaele Stasi is located. We can continue along this road until we reach the ski lift station, from where we can enjoy a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view.
We return on the same road. At the junction of the mouth of Slapeur to the right of the hut, where an excellent Pecorino cheese is produced, there are tombstones in three languages (Italian-German-Bosnian), built to commemorate the battle of Melette in the First World War. Returning the same way, we leave the crossroads on the left for Maletta Davanti and at the end of the descent follow the road to the right for Malga Ronchetto. Continuing along the flat road; on the left, there is the turnoff for Malga Meletta di Mezzo (the cheese produced is very pleasant and mild), for La Solaia and then for Meletta di Dietro and finally for Lemerle (the salamis are remarkable). On the road, you can also see the crossroads of the ski lifts and the grassy slopes. A few kilometres lead us to the junction in the Sbarbatal bend, after having crossed a small artificial canyon on the road. Continue left uphill to Selletta Sbarbatal and return the same way. Through Campomulo we reach Baita Sport & Gourmet LeMelette.
