StavehøI Waterfall is located a few meters from the bike path. StavehøI is an 8 m high and 2 m wide rock gap in which the water of the river falls down. It is not Bornholm's highest waterfall, on the other hand it has a drop of 3 m - a beautiful sight.
From the waterfall you can go for a fantastic walk along Kobbeå down to the sea. Kobbeådalen is a fractal valley with steep and almost vertical sides.
Østerlars Rundkirke is probably from the middle of the 12th century. It is Denmark's largest round church and one of the most visited sights on Bornholm with 130,000 visitors a year. In the church there are frescoes from the 14th century as well as a rune stone, both inside and outside the church.
The Almindingen is Denmark's 5th largest forest. It is divided in the middle of a 10 km long and impressive cracking valley: the echo valley. There are a lot of experiences in this fantastic forest. You can experience Gamleborg, Lilleborg, the world's smallest race track, Rokkestenen, the knight - or just go and cycle several trips on small and big tracks.
Aakirkebys history is about culture, church and power, because here You can find Bornholms oldest church - the great Aa Church. It was built in the 12th century and was the center of the ecclesiastical domination of Bornholm in the following centuries. The island's county councils were adjacent to the church until 1776. Hygge and trade go hand in hand in Aakirkeby, especially in the area around the square, where outdoor dining and the shops in the old houses contribute to the environment.
The experience center NaturBornholm offers experiences and knowledge about the unique Bornholm nature. The impressive building was designed by the world-famous architect Henning Larsen, who even designed the Opera in Copenhagen.
