Monte Sirino is a 1st category pass. The actual climb begins shortly before Lauria and leads to the top of the pass with an average gradient of about 3.8 %. That doesn't sound too strenuous at first. However, a ramp with a maximum gradient of 12% awaits you at kilometre 11. This ramp is about 3 km long and is very strenuous. The 24.4 km long pass road leads up to 1402 m above sea level.
