This route follows the Valle di Non state road on the outskirts of the town of Mezzolombardo for a few hundred metres before turning off onto the provincial road no. 64 which climbs up the side of the mountain. The long ascent is not particularly steep but climbs steadily, with only a small number of difficult stretches. It passes through the town of Fai della Paganella, followed by a stretch through the woods before arriving at Andalo.

Fai della Paganella is a small town situated on a natural balcony affording truly magnificent views across the Valle dell’Adige. Both Fai and Andalo are popular Winter resorts thanks to their modern lifts up to the Paganella ski area, an area which also offers endless exciting excursions during the Summer months. It’s well worthwhile going down the other side of the valley to get back to Mezzolombardo, through the towns of Cavedago and Spormaggiore. On the outskirts of the latter, just below the old Castel Belfort fortress is an interesting didactic fauna centre where several examples of the Alpine species of the brown bear are kept.
