The region is enclosed between the Adriatic Sea on the east and follows on the occidental side the Appennines on the Tuscanian border, touching Liguria and Piemonte. In the north its territories are delimited by Lombardy and Veneto, and in the south with Marche and San Marino. Emilia Romagna is split in half between hilly territories of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and flat lands characterized by the Po Valley. The costal area is represented by a strong heritage in tourism hospitality and commerce, where you can find plenty of leasure activities. The cultural offer is incredible, spacing from the Mosaic of Ravenna, Bologna with the oldest University in Europe and old centers like Bobbio, Parma and Castell'Arquato.
Natural regional park Corno alle Scale
The area is known for its scenic hiking trails and cycling roads. In the year 2004 the mountain pass was the arrival of the third stage of the Giro d'Italia. Many rock climbers reach this destination due to its inviting rock formations. The natural park is also known as a ski destination, offering outdoor activities at 360° for any kind of athelete and explorer.
