Mit 542 müA. ist der Hermannskogel der Hauptgipfel des Kahlengebirges und der höchste Berg Wiens. Auf dessen Gipfel steht die 27 Meter hohe Habsburgwarte des ÖTK. Sie hat die Form eines mittelalterlichen Wehrturms. Auf der Dachterrasse der Warte befindet sich der Fundamentalpunkt der Österreichischen Landvermessung in 558,7 müA.. Die Aussichtswarte ist heute beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Familien, Wanderer und Mountainbiker.
