Sunset Rock
Sunset Rock can be reached by a short walk from the Giant Forest Museum. A paved trail leads to a wooden bridge over Little Deer Creek. Turning right here takes you to the Big Trees Trail, an easy and educational trail along Round Meadow.
The Sunset Rock Trail leads to a large granite dome from which you have a magnificent view to the west. Let your view sweep over Deep Canyon, carved by the Kaweah River. With a bit of luck and a visit at the right time of day, you can witness how the setting sun bathes the treetops of the national park in golden light.
